Halloumi Cheese Skewers from Scratch

April 8, 2018 /Posted byChaiyo! / 5601 / 0

This is a great video that shows how to make halloumi cheese skewers from store milk to plate.

https://thaiartisanfoods.com/wp-content/uploads/Halloumi-Cheese-is-fun-to-make.mp4

This is a wonderful video made by our friends at CheeseNeeds.com.   You start off with store milk, in our case in SE Asia this would include Meiji, Dutch Mill, or our personal favorite, Makro’s Aro brand.

The only additional ingredients for the halloumi are calcium chloride, rennet and cheese salt.  If you want a more detailed recipe for halloumi cheese, you can find it here.

After you make your cheese instead of frying it up as usual, you do the skewers as in the video.  It’s FANTASTIC!  You can make it vegetarian if you want or go all out and add meat chunks.  Maybe even try the halloumi skewers with fruits like pineapple and apples.  AROI!

So grab those ingredients right here.  Or if you happen to be in North America, get them at CheeseNeeds.com.

Be sure to post your photos of your skewers on our Facebook Page.
